Day 2: The Happiest Thing in the World

Today, I stitched a felt piece shaped like the character “愛” (love) onto a white fabric base using pink yarn.

I’m in the middle of stitching the phrase “愛犬最高,” which means “I love my dog more than anything in the world.”

Usually, the phrase written alongside “立春大吉” is “建陽多慶,” but I decided to replace it with “愛犬最高.”

“建陽多慶” carries a meaning like wishing for peace—what people consider the greatest kind of happiness. But honestly, I don’t think many people can read it, and the meaning doesn’t really come across.

So instead, I chose “愛犬最高,” a phrase that celebrates the one thing that brings me the greatest happiness in the world—my love for my dog.
